420autoflower is a North American hydroponics expert who cultivated two Auto Creeper seeds from the Super Sativa Seed Club, Dutch Passion’s sister company. This sativa autoflower seed variety produced a remarkable result: 1.19 kg (2.6 lb) from one plant and 912 g (2 lb) from the other. The complete growing method is explained in detail, featuring regular schwazzing (extreme defoliation), the use of the SCROG method, and LED lighting positioned both above and below the canopy.
Epic 2Kg+ dry harvest from two Auto Creeper plants grown in hydroponics

Auto Creeper indoor hydroponics grow report by 420autoflower
420autoflower mainly grows indoors using LED lighting but occasionally takes his hydroponic setup outdoors as well; achieving equally impressive, high-yielding results.
This Auto Creeper grow review features two plants. During a recent cultivation trial 420autoflower grew a total of 7 plants from 5 different varieties of both Dutch Passion and Super Sativa Seed Club. These Auto Creepers were some of the most colourful and frosty of them all!
The Super Sativa Seed Club are a Dutch seedbank from the 1980’s with some unique genetics. Auto Creeper is a fine quality high-yielding sativa autoflower seed variety with genetics from William’s Wonder & Creeper (an original high THC sativa).
Hitting 1.192kg / 2.6lb of dry buds from one plant with ease is another outstanding result and shows what home growers can achieve when combining top quality cannabis seeds with an expert setup and sufficient TLC to get the best out of them.
Big respect to the grower. Be amazed by another grow journal from our friend 420autoflower growing Super Sativa Seed Club (and Dutch Passion) genetics in the USA.
The following comments are from 420autoflower himself.
Auto Creeper grow info

Germination rate: About 70-85%. I think the low germination rates might have been due to the beans being shipped (stealthily) in ink pens.
Germination details: I mark my zip lock baggies with the names of the cultivars with a sharpie pen and then place the wet paper towel with the seeds inside the bag. After they shoot out a tail, I carefully place them in 1.5” /4cm Grodan starter cubes and drop them into a Grodan 4×4” (10cm x 10cm) rockwool block after they sprout.
Light cycle: 24 hours of LED light per day, no dark period.
Stretch during flowering: Solid stretch and vigorous growth.

Type of grow room: A garage with no climate control, plants are grown in tents.
Size of grow room: They spent most of their life in a 28’x28’’ (70cm x 70cm) tent but at a certain point they outgrew it and were moved to a bigger one.
Number of plants: 1 in each tent with 2 different lighting set-ups.
Type / size of pots: She grew in a 9×6” (22 x 15cm) chunk of Grodan Hugo block (rockwool) with a 4×4” (10cm x 10cm) block stacked on top.
Grow medium: Hydroponics
Nutrients: General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow/Bloom as my main N-P-K.
Grow techniques: My personal 420autoflower SCROG method.
Average temperature: Average was high 80’s F (around 30ºC).
Average humidity: Low 40’s during late flower (RH 40-45%)
Grow lights: A $109-240 watt FarmLite and with the other a DIY self-contained hydro unit and a $89 240 watt Yehsence light – I gave them more light(s) as they progressed/became older.
Light distance from canopy: 12”/30cm in general – added canopy lights during the last part of the grow
Germination stage

No special remarks, besides having a single bean that didn’t pop. Germination went smoothly and as expected.
24-06-2024: In the center are a few Dutch Passion Auto Creepers. I connected the new Dutch Passion grow to the automated fertigation system a few days ago.

Vegetative stage

Under continuous 24-hour LED lighting, the Auto Creepers showed rapid growth. The plants were schwazzed and super-cropped (stems gently crushed between fingers) to allow a low SCROG net to be positioned above the flattened, defoliated canopy. I divided the new Dutch Passion run into three tents, placing two Super Sativa Seed Club Auto Creepers at the front.

The two Auto Creepers in the other tent are coming along nicely. They’re about 25 days old now and should be separated in a couple of days to give them more space to spread out.
Auto Creepers.
The 2 Dutch Passion Auto Creepers outgrew the 28×28” tent they were in and had to move them into a larger tent.
I had to move both Auto Creepers into a bigger tent last week.
I’m keeping the main tops pinned down to encourage more top nodes, additional side branching, and a wider canopy overall. The key is to keep the tops low so the lower branches can catch up.

After nine days of growth (photos taken yesterday), the Auto Creepers—now at day 36—are nearly ready for the SCROG net.

I installed the SCROG net over my Dutch Passion Auto Creepers a few days ago. I’d originally planned to grow one plant outdoors and the other indoors, but I decided to keep them together in the 4 × 2-foot (120 × 60 cm) tent. Hopefully, they won’t outgrow it..

The Creepers are doing great and filling out beautifully. I was worried about running out of horizontal space, but after adding tent expanders, I gained a few extra inches; just enough room to tuck the growing tips.

Auto Creeper Canopy update (10 days ago).

Today.
Flowering stage
With the Auto Creepers growing under the SCROG screen the vigorous plant development continued. Each of the numerous bloom points gradually developed, eventually producing a sensational heavy bloom. Comments are from 420autoflower:

Auto Creeper #1 and #2 (day 59).

Auto Creeper #1 and #2 (day 75).

Day 102. The Auto Creepers are a couple of weeks behind the other plants but looking good. They’re smaller than the rest, but I’m really pleased with the colas and bud formation.

The taller phenotype shows a hint of purple in the flowers. I’m really happy with the terpene profile and the frost level on both Creepers. They’re not the biggest plants, but the buds look and smell like top-shelf quality. I can’t wait to try them.

Auto Creeper #1 and #2 almost done (day 110).
Harvest report

Auto Creeper grew into a magnificent specimen by harvest. The sativa autoflower genetics allowed long full blooms with great colour, resin overload and a pungent fruity sweet & sour aroma. Some more comments and observations from 420autoflower:

Dutch Passion Auto Creepers harvested 10/19/24 on day 118.

Final comments on an epic display of autoflower growing

Final Height: The 420autoflower SCROG technique involved extensive defoliation (schwazzing) and continuous bending of branches under the net.

Calyx-leaf ratio (Easy trim/yes or no): Large buds that were simple to trim, with minimal leaf material. Frosty and colorful overall.

Quality (Resin/Smell/Compactness): Hybrid-style buds with a pleasant aroma and strong resin production!

Yield:

Observations and expert tips from 420autoflower

Below are some general notes from 420autoflower, explaining more about his setup and his distinctive growing style, which combines the SCROG technique, regular schwazzing, 24-hour LED lighting, and precise nutrient management::
The buds and colas on both Auto Creepers look fantastic—loaded with trichomes and incredibly sticky. They’re right up there with the 1,480-gram Auto Critical Orange Punch I just harvested.
420Autoflower and his opinion on feeding during this round:
I’m running recirculating hydro systems using reverse osmosis (R/O) water and don’t rely on feeding charts or schedules. I simply keep my EC (electrical conductivity) and pH levels balanced after mixing the base N-P-K nutrients and other additives in a bucket before topping up the reservoirs.
My reservoirs stay filled with nutrients, and I feed my plants five to eight times daily. Nutrient strength starts around 650 ppm (1.3 EC) from day 7 and gradually rises to about 1,300 ppm by the end. I’m on my third N-P-K formula this grow, using up leftover nutrients I’ve had on hand.
I began with General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow, then switched to Advanced Nutrients A&B, and now I’m finishing with Humboldt’s Secret. I’ve always followed the same basic approach with different brands over the years—it all seems to work equally well.
Here are some questions and tips about growing in Grodan blocks using the 420autoflower hydro-SCROG method:
Question @420: Just to clarify; is all that plant mass supported only by the roots inside the Grodan block, or do the roots extend into the water in the tray?
The roots do grow out from the bottom of the block, but if the tray isn’t covered (blacked out), they stop growing at the block’s edge.
Here’s a flood-and-drain (ebb & flow) setup I ran a couple of years ago using Grodan 4 × 4-inch (10 × 10 cm) cubes covered completely with black-and-white panda film. The system worked great and used very little medium, but once the plants are rooted in the tray, pruning and maintenance become more challenging.

Question @420: So, in all those cases, the entire root mass stays inside the Grodan block? That’s incredible! The flexibility of this hydro method makes it even more appealing—like when you moved the largest Auto Glueberry OG into a bigger space to let her flourish.
Thanks brother! It’s amazing how big a plant can grow from such a small block of medium. All you really need is about 9 × 6 inches (22 × 15 cm) of Grodan rockwool—or roughly 2 gallons (7.5 L) of coco/perlite—to grow a monster.
The Auto Glueberry OG was the only plant I had to re-SCROG into a bigger tent in my last Dutch Passion run, but this time I’ve already re-SCROGged my Auto Candy Bubatz XL, Auto Critical Orange Punch #1, and Auto SFV OG. The Auto Creepers are getting large too, so they might need moving soon.

Question @420: Does starting them in smaller 4 × 4-inch (10 × 10 cm) blocks offer any advantages compared to beginning directly in the final stacked setup?
Starting them in 4 × 4s saves space and gives me extra time to prepare and cut the larger blocks.
Outstanding autoflower seed growing!

Congratulations to 420autoflower on yet another truly exceptional grow!
His precise nutrient management kept the plants in their optimal feeding range from seed to harvest. Regular schwazzing (heavy defoliation), expert SCROG work, and strategic LED lighting, both above and beneath the canopy, produced an abundance of large, dense blooms. The under-canopy lighting was especially effective, allowing lower buds to swell beautifully and contribute to the nearly unbelievable final yield.
The stressful effects of repeat schwazzing and tough scrogging may be responsible for extending the autoflower grow cycle beyond the usual 75 days, in this case delaying harvest until day 118. But with a sick total harvest of 2.1Kg (4.6lb) from two Auto Creepers (with a rating of 4.5/ 5!), there were no complaints from the grower.
