In this remarkable grow, a single Dutch Passion Amsterdam Amnesia plant produced 317g of killer buds following a 19 week indoor grow (9 weeks veg followed by 10 weeks of bloom). This was an uncomplicated soil grow using a 200W LED and manual watering. The master grower, @DogDoctorOfficial, returned a huge harvest and summarised the grow with these words.

@DoctorDogOfficial enjoyed the grow so much that he promoted Amsterdam Amnesia to one of his top all-time cannabis strains. Amnesia genetics are famously enjoyable. But these great genetics also deliver a lip-smacking taste and heavy yields. The ‘Amnesia’ name comes from the tendency to leave users unable to remember what they were doing after a large vape/joint. Powerful stuff! The following comments and smoke assessment comes from @DoctorDogOfficial:
She is an amazing smoke, after inhaling there is a peculiar feeling of citrus and pines but not lemons… when exhaling there is a unique almost gasoline-like after-taste mixed with the limes and pines, just amazing. This one is a keeper no doubts about that and I am grateful and thankful that she found her way in to my garden.
This Amsterdam Amnesia grow review is one of the most impressive recent customer reviews seen by the Dutch Passion team. Using typical home-grown conditions, a remarkable 300+g/11-ounce harvest was combined with connoisseur taste/aroma and potent, dense buds.
If you’re looking to combine these features into your next grow, then consider Amsterdam Amnesia seeds. These are without doubt some of the best quality, most reliable/consistent cannabis seeds introduced by Dutch Passion in recent years. They come with our very highest recommendations.

@DoctorDogOfficial germinated his Amsterdam Amnesia seed using the glass of water method. Once the tap-root started to emerge the cannabis seed was placed in the soil/perlite mix.
The cotyledon leaves (the initial, non-serrated leaf pair) were above soil the next day. The seedlings were given 18 hours of daily light, with humidity around 60% and temperatures around 30ºC/86F.
Seedling growth was slow and steady, as normal. At this stage there is generally little attention needed by cannabis plants. Growers should be careful not to ‘burn’ the embryonic seedling network with strong nutrients or damage the delicate leaves with intense light.

Cannabis seedling stage how to guide
One vital aspect of this epic Amsterdam Amnesia grow was the generous 9-week veg period. This allowed a large plant to develop. The longer branches were trained under a screen.
Growing cannabis with the SCROG method allows the grower to maintain a level canopy. Later in flowering this allows all of the buds to bathe in the optical sweet-spot at optimised PPFD (light intensity) levels.
Nutrient strength was progressively increased as the veg period progressed. A cannabis light cycle with 18 hours of daily light was used throughout the veg growth stage. @DoctorDogOfficial also used supplementary CO2 in his indoor grow room at around 1000PPM. This was used throughout veg and bloom, a technique used by serious weed growers keen to squeeze maximum yields out of their cannabis plants. By the end of the 9 week veg period the SCROG netting was full and the Amsterdam Amnesia was ideally positioned to deliver a heavy harvest.
The bloom period used 11 hours of daily light, 12 hours is more orthodox, but cannabis is a flexible plant that copes well with many challenges. @DoctorDogOfficial started his 10-week bloom period with a severe pruning. Most of the lower leaf material was removed revealing a heavily trimmed plant.
Amsterdam Amnesia uses tough, robust genetics that coped well with the experience and soon bounced back with lush growth. The purpose of the drastic defoliation was to remove lower bud sites and unnecessary foliage, allowing the plant to focus her biochemical resources on the major blooms.
The Amsterdam Amnesia stretched during initial flowering, with numerous bloom points emerging above the SCROG screen. During week-3, a neighbouring tent had a thrip infestation but the Amsterdam Amnesia sailed along without issues.
@DogDoctorOfficial was impressed with the vigour and strength of his plant:
This girl is just fantastic, i can already see the great genetics on her and let me tell you, despite the fact that the next door tent got infected with freaking thrips on this side so far I have seen none. That means she is stronger than the rest of the field.
As Amsterdam Amnesia reached the end of her 10-week bloom the multiple blooms were reassuringly thick and chunky with a dense resin coverage. Even the leaves had a stream of trichomes running down them – a sure sign of stinging potency!
OMG finding it hard to find words, I am falling with this one, she was a delight to grow.
She went straight to my top 3, I mean super strong Mama, strong to everything – pests you name it. Amazing structure, her terpene profile is taking me back to the 90s with her almost gasoline-like smell mixed with limes and pines. OMG can’t wait to try out this one – much respect to Dutch Passion on this creation.
The harvest was highly impressive! Multiple blooms full of stacked buds, coated with particularly generous levels of resin. @DoctorDogOfficial produced a superb result and controlled the SCROG grow very well. The heavy defoliation didn’t harm the final yield at all.
Most home growers would be more-than satisfied with a harvest of this quality/quantity from a small tent with a 200W LED. The genetics selected for Amsterdam Amnesia were optimised for high THC levels and the best-ever Amnesia experience. But as this grow shows, the high-quality Amsterdam Amnesia genetics also deliver astonishingly heavy yields even in average home-grow conditions with soil & manual watering.

Amsterdam Amnesia special remarks from Dutch Passion
It isn’t complicated or unrealistic for home growers to achieve these type of harvest results. Starting with premium quality cannabis seeds is always the best foundation for any grow. Combined with the key tips listed below, you will be on to a mega-harvest!
- Use LED grow lights
- Ensure a long veg period when growing photoperiod feminised cannabis seeds
- Grow your plants in large, aerated grow container
- Effective use of SCROG
- Keep your plants in the nutrient and optical sweet spot from cannabis seed to harvest
Although not used in this grow, supplementary UVA/UVB lights also help optimise total cannabinoid and terpene content and are recommended to those keen to push their cannabis seeds to the limit.
