Auto Banana Blaze grow report with 360g single-plant harvest

Auto Banana Blaze may be one of Dutch Passion’s most affordable cannabis seeds, but don’t let the budget pricing fool you into expecting low quality results. This Auto Banana Blaze grow report comes from TeeHee, an experienced autoflower grower with several 200g+ yields from Dutch Passion autoflower seeds.

Using his proven technique of powerful LED grow lights in combination with Air pots and coco fibre, TeeHee produced a sublime grow with a huge plant boasting multiple, heavy blooms. Bud quality was impressive, with tremendous resin production.

Auto Banana Blaze seeds are competitively priced thanks to their best-selling status and the volumes sold. They are a popular choice with growers of all experience levels, but skilled growers will find they can push these Afghani Kush genetics to the limit and produce connoisseur quality results. Read on to see the stunning results!

Auto Banana Blaze, heavy yielding autoflowering cannabis seeds pushed to the max

One of the secrets to producing autoflowers that can deliver extravagant yields is the use of high power modern LED grow lights. Using 800W of powerful LED grow lights ensures that his 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m indoor grow tent enjoys intense light levels across the full canopy.

Use of airpots and coco fibre is another proven way to ensure rapid growth. TeeHee is experienced enough to ensure that his indoor cannabis plants are kept in the nutrient sweet spot (without over/under feeding) and the optical sweet spot (optimised light levels at each stage of growth). If this can be maintained from autoflower seed to harvest great results can be expected when using the finest cannabis genetics.

In this grow TeeHee grew a single Auto Banana Blaze alongside Auto Lemon Kix and Auto Orange Bud in his 1.2 x 1.2m tent with the full 800W of LED power used in bloom. The comments and pictures come from TeeHee.

Germination and seedling stage

I did my usual thing and prepared three paper cups with perforated bottoms, filling them with Canna Coco Professional Plus. I soaked the medium with an EC 0.7 mix of House & Garden Cocos A&B, along with some Roots Excellurator, a bit of Cal-Mag, and a dash of Nitrogen Boost.

The autoflower seeds were planted directly into the coco and covered with cling film. I then left them in a dark cardboard box somewhere warm and since it’s blisteringly hot here in the tropics, I simply left them on the garage floor.

This method works 100% of the time, takes around three days for the seedlings to emerge, and causes no stress to the delicate roots.

I currently have them all under a single Skyline 400 LED, drawing two hundred watts of power. Once they are moved into their final twenty five litre air pots, they will each have their own LED unit.

They are being fed every two to three days using the remainder of the nutrient mix from germination, with an EC of zero point seven and a pH of five point eight.

It is day thirteen, and the seedlings were looking great in their Solo pots this morning.

I added more lights so they now each have a Skyline 400 LED, and gave them a light watering with the last of the germination mix. Around two litres each, just enough to bed them into their new homes.

A low speed air circulation fan is positioned at ground level to help keep any heat stress at bay.

Vegetative stage

TeeHee was impressed with his Auto Banana Blaze plant which grew steadily and rapidly under the well-controlled indoor conditions.

The Banana Blaze really took off, almost unrecognisable from the day thirteen picture. Here she is on day twenty one. She is more developed than the other two, and I was able to get away with just a bit of leaf tucking.

I could not believe how much more she grew in the two days leading up to day twenty three. The star of this run has to be the Auto Banana Blaze. She is looking lovely and big.

She has also started to stretch, and I am going to need to get some stakes in soon to encourage her to fill half the tent.

Despite being the most affordable strain being grown, TeeHee was particularly impressed with the vigorous growth from the Auto Banana Blaze which at times seemed to outperform the other strains.

Almost at the halfway mark, so there is still plenty of time to push her to her full potential. This morning, nine days later on day forty eight, this is what I see when I open the tent.

That is the Banana Blaze at the front, completely obscuring the view of the Lemon Kix and Orange Bud behind. That just leaves the mighty Banana Blaze.

Here she is from above.

She could have a whole tent to herself. From the front, you can really see just how big she is.

And from a different angle, it looks like there are some nice long candy canes on the way. Her main stem shows a bit of heat stress, but her buds are more developed than those on the other two plants.

I wanted to spend some time with my girls this weekend. I get Fridays off, so I am already off to a good start. Photos done.

With growth going better than planned and a huge plant starting to form, TeeHee made the most of his 800W of LED power and continued to push the Auto Banana Blaze to see how much growth he could produce. Some defoliation and training was used to manage the extravagantly packed canopy and ensure optimised light penetration to the multiple blooms.

Finally, I added another Skyline 400 to give the huge Banana Blaze a bit more light.

It was tricky getting the extra light in because of the large filter, so I angled the light towards the Auto Banana Blaze to make it fit.

You can also see some stakes in the Banana Blaze at the front. I put three in on either side and gently pulled her outwards, then gave her a good snip underneath and deep inside the canopy.

I kept plenty of leaves lower down, but made sure to remove any thin, weedy flowering sites and stems that will never reach the top.

As those lower leaves are still nice and healthy, I left them in place to do their job. The moment they start to turn, I will remove them so the plant can focus on producing fat buds higher up.

Here is the Banana Blaze on her own, with the lights on.

And with the lights off, you can see her buds much more clearly.

You can also see her exposed roots, looking nice and chunky. After taking these photos, I gave her a bit more thinning out inside the canopy and lower down.

The Auto Banana Blaze is more developed than the rest, so I think she will probably be finished by around eighty five to ninety days. After that, I expect the Auto Orange Bud, and finally the Auto Lemon Kix.

Auto Banana Blaze causes a grow room stink thanks to the pungent Afghani genetics

As part of the cannabis-cup winning Afghani Kush cannabis seed collection Auto Banana Blaze produces buds with a notable pungency. The aroma is penetrating and growers are advised to ensure their grow room doesn’t have any odour leaks. As the Auto Banana Blaze reached harvest she was a colossal size. TeeHee commented that she could have easily filled his 1.2m x 1.2m indoor grow tent on her own.

I am already dreading the crop. It is going to stink!

Let us see how they look after a week on the PK. Thanks for looking in.

Here is the Auto Banana Blaze on her own. She is a chunky lass.

With the lights off, you can really see the amount of bud on its way.

That tent is one point two metres wide, and the Banana Blaze pretty much takes up all the space.

Here she is on her own.

Lots of nosey neighbours and a few cops scattered around for good measure have not made this an easy grow. Luckily, we had high winds and heavy rainfall all weekend, so I was able to crop without worrying about anyone catching a whiff.

These are really smelly strains, and there were a couple of times when I made the house stink while moving bushels of bud around in the dead of night.

I gave my girls a two to three day flush using Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish, followed by a day of no feed to let them dry out a little before the chop. This way, I get no mould.

Because I was in a hurry, I did not take many photos, but here we go.

Finally, the Banana Blaze. A very pleasing twelve point seven ounces, or 360 grams. Plenty of solid bud to last a few months.
