Kerosene Krash cannabis seed to harvest grow report by St Tom

Kerosene Krash is one of Dutch Passion’s premium and most expensive feminised seed varieties with a reeking chem-fuel pungency and stunning 25% THC levels. In this customer grow review, ‘St Tom’, a respected moderator and grower on the popular Autoflower Network grow forum got 210g/7.4oz of ‘pure top shelf bud’ from two Kerosene Krash plants in a small 60x60cm (2ft x 2ft) indoor grow tent. Read on to see the remarkably simple ‘water only’ grow method using BioTabs slow release organics and the impressively frosty results produced.

Kerosene Krash is one of the highest THC indica strains ever to make the Dutch Passion collection. After growing her for the first time St Tom immediately loved the potency, quality and reeking dankness.

St Tom has been running her ever since (in total already 3-4 grows in a row). Here s a summary of the grow conditions used for this simple, problem free grow.

Germination rate: 66%. two seeds were started, one didn’t sprout so another was germinated. So from 3 feminised seeds, 2 plants were grown.

Germination details: one of the two plants germinated a few days after the other. This slower-germinating plant was, for the most of veg, a bit slower.

Vegetative growth: around 40 days of an 18/6 cannabis light schedule for the cannabis vegetative phase before switching to a 12/12 light cycle for bloom.

Flowering under 12/12 light: the cannabis bloom phase took around 9 weeks.

Stretch during flowering: normal stretch during flowering, manageable and definitely nothing too extreme.

Number of plants: 2

Average temperature: mid-twenties Celsius (around 77F)

Average humidity: around 50-60% during most of the run

Kerosene Krash feminised seed germination

One Kerosene Krash seed failed to germinate, leaving St Tom with two Kerosene Krash plants from 3 seeds.

I’ve got 2 brand new Kerosene Krash that I’m going to be growing, one seed didn’t pop that’s why one is older than the other, but it’s not an issue with photoperiods.

Veg stage: water only grow method with BioTabs

Aside from the professional-grade buds at the end, one of the more interesting aspects of this grow was the use of the increasingly popular water-only grow method using proven slow-release organic nutrients from BioTabs.

These are mostly mixed in with the soil at the start of the grow, with just a couple of easy BioTab additions later on. The water-only method is ideal for rookie growers who can often yo-yo between over-feeding and over feeding. BioTabs delivers precise nutrient delivery throughout veg & bloom and are the preferred grow method for many expert growers, including St Tom.

BioTabs revolutionise grow room simplicity and are fully endorsed by Dutch Passion.

Below are a few comments from St Tom.

Here are my 2 new recruits Kerosene Krash for the smaller tent at 8 and 4 days old. Maybe these 2 could get potted up at the weekend in the biotabs water-only mix.

I will end up topping these but with them being photoperiods there was no rush to pot them up. But I think the bigger girl will need to be potted up really soon… For anyone interested this is the BioTabs water-only grow method. So, if your plants are not too big it could take you all the way to the finish (…Without the need for supplemental bloom feed at the end).

BioTabs “just add water strategy” nutrient feeding chart

Both Kerosene Krash plants have been topped… I may have to give them another tidy (leaf tucking) when they’re dry. The 2 Kerosene Krash plants will have all the space soon to veg for at least another 2 weeks before bloom and the canopy should fill up.

I was always told coco and soil don’t mix very well. The perlite has been ordered now and will arrive tomorrow so I will just add 20% to the autopots mix for my other bunch as I’ve already got about 70 litres of light mix in 2 bags so plenty to play about with.

My Kerosene Krash have their own space now, I did a bit of leaf tucking as I didn’t need to remove the big fan leaves since the plants grew taller, I will lollypop and strip them down more. Today they got a weekly 1 gram of Bactrex (BioTabs beneficial soil bacteria) per pot and just plain-arse water. No pH or EC (Electrical conductivity) checks!

The veg phase was complete and the water-only BioTabs nutrient approach was also going well. As you can see from the pictures, the plants were in great health and coped well with the plant-training (super cropping) which helped produced a solid harvest with numerous bud sites. Below are some more comments from St Tom:

I’ve flipped these girls today and I think with some strategic bending I should be able to fill the whole canopy up for sure. As you said, a bit of super cropping here and there will help

Another day goes by and both tents are looking in great shape so it’s just a case of keeping the ladies happy. The 2 Kerosene Krash girls are growing as expected I’m just removing leaves here and there to keep the canopy as level as possible.

The big front girl is slightly older than her sister so I’m hoping she will start stretching a bit more like her sister but no matter what I’m going to have a sea of tops hopefully – page 377 of the original grow diary.

Well, I gave them a really good thin out for sure and as you can see, I super cropped in a few places and as they catch up on the right side, I’m hoping it’s becomes quite level canopy wise. Anyhow I hope I didn’t take too much off.

Also, here’s some pics from this evening lights on and off of the Kerosene Krash photoperiod sisters I also took a few more leaves away from the middle bits.

Theyre getting there, regarding the smell. It hits you when you open the tent but thank God for carbon filters. Day 28 of flower tomorrow for the Kerosene Krash ladies and I just gave them 10ml of PK5-8 as a once-weekly dose.

It says to mix it with a minimum 1 litre of water, so I went with a bit more and I also added 1 gram of bactrex (beneficial soil bacteria, as per 2 weeks) just to pamper these beautiful girls (next to the biotabs nutrients/yellow watering can).

Onto tent 2 the Kerosene Krash are stunning at day 36 of flower and a huge thanks to Antonio for guiding behind the scenes and letting me grow Dutch Passion strains.

Harvest report: 210g/7.4oz of pure top shelf bud from a small tent!

Kerosene Krash cannabis seed to harvest grow report by St Tom (N)

The Kerosene Krash plants finished with numerous reasonably sized blooms. The buds were exceptionally frosty with a slight autumnal purple fade on them. St Tom was impressed with the results!

Well folks the day has finally arrived, and the Kerosene girls are no more and boy she was stacked. also, I mean it whole heartedly thanks so much to all of you folks who have helped me along the day and tagged along.

Thanks to Dutch Passion Antonio as well for helping me on my merry way and learning this new craft of organic growing. – Original grow diary page 398

Hi folks the 2 Kerosene Krash are dried with a grand total of 210 grams of pure top shelf bud and a load of unweighted bottom stuff.

This strain has the best bag appeal I’ve grown, really dense buds like rock and absolutely covered in frost.

So BioTabs for the win and ok I maybe could have got more weight with coco fibre. But in the small tent for the ease and end-product this wins hands down for me.

Observations and expert growing tips

Kerosene Krash cannabis seed to harvest grow report by St Tom (L)

Congrats to St Tom on a very impressive grow and end-result. Getting 210g (7.4oz) from a small 60x60cm (2ft x2ft) tent with just two plants is quite an achievement. Especially when you consider the quality levels/potency achieved.

One highlight was the use of BioTabs organic slow-release nutrients, St Toms first time using them. These allowed plain water to be given to the plants most of the time.

Some specialist BioTabs additives do need to be added from time to time, but these are simple to apply. Without the dangers of over/under feeding the plants remained in peak health and filled the jars.
