The Rise Of The Urban Cannabis Grower

The recent blog about AutoFem seeds has really got the e-mails flying here at Dutch Passion. The feedback has been split almost equally between 2 groups, those that

a) Have been growing AutoFem seeds and can’t believe how quick and simple it now is to grow great quality weed. “Why isn’t everyone doing it?”….and…

b) ….people that were put off growing Autoflowering varieties by early stories about problems and have never bothered with them for that reason. These people are now thinking again.

AutoFem seeds have created a sensation in the seed business simply because they have become so popular so quickly, overtaking sales of some traditional strains faster than many expected. The success of AutoFem seeds is down to the rise of the urban cannabis grower. Medical and recreational stoners have been the driving force behind the transition to home-grown cannabis

over the last two decades.

AutoFem seeds have simply made it much easier to grow your own. The small autofem plants will grow rapidly and are easily hidden in a normal back garden, greenhouse or the countryside. Previously it was a real challenge for growers to find a safe place for a 2 metre tall plant over several months. Autofem plants (50cm – 1m) are often smaller than the surrounding plant-life and hide themselves naturally in the undergrowth, needing only 10 weeks before harvest.

If Dutch Passion are characterised by any single philosophy then I suppose it is the passion to provide the best seeds possible to the ever-increasing numbers of people that are becoming self sufficient in their cannabis supply. Many of these growers are telling us that AutoFem seeds give them the production speed that they always wanted but never thought possible.

With every passing year the market for cannabis seed get larger and larger. In most cases these growers are private individuals deciding that they can grow better weed than they were buying. Once a person has grown their first crop they rarely want to go back the expense and uncertainty of buying weed from someone else.

The rise of the urban cannabis grower began a couple of decades ago when ‘growing your own’ began to become a mainstream activity. The second wave of urban cannabis growers took advantage of feminised seeds to set up their own ganja gardens and waved goodbye to the problems associated with male plants. And the third wave of urban cannabis growers have now found that AutoFem seeds were just the solution they needed to grow their own.
