Fruit Bomb Punch seed to harvest timelapse video

This Fruit Bomb Punch feminised seed grow comes from ‘The Artist’, an experienced Dutch Passion grower who usually specialises in autoflower seed varieties. This was one of The Artist’s few experiences growing with feminised photoperiod cannabis seeds in recent years.

The results were impressive: Of the two plants, one hit 25% THC the other 18%. Both gave vigorous growth, incredible aromas, beautiful colour changes and top-tier bag appeal. Fruit Bomb Punch is quickly proving herself to be one of the most exciting and fruitiest strains in the entire Dutch Passion collection.

There were two unusual aspects to this grow for The Artist. Firstly, he was using an AutoPot system. This supplies gravity-fed nutrient/water solution (no batteries or mains electricity required) to the grow containers once they have reached a ‘dryish’ state. The second challenge was the use of feminised seeds.

For the last few years The Artist has grown mainly autoflower seeds. Fortunately, Fruit Bomb Punch is an easy strain, with a wide grow latitude and the ability to thrive across a large range of conditions and grow mediums.

For these reasons, Fruit Bomb Punch is often recommended to new growers or those with less experience of feminised seed varieties. It worked out well for The Artist, one of his two Fruit Bomb Punch plants hit over 25% THC – quite an achievement for the rookie feminised seed grower!

Fruit Bomb Punch 100% germination rate

Germination was flawless for both Fruit Bomb Punch feminised seeds. No issues at all. A perfect start for this sativa-dominant hybrid. And a reassuring beginning for the grower who admitted to feeling a “little bit out of the comfort zone” with feminised seeds at the start of the grow.

Fruit Bomb Punch vigorous vegetative stage

The plants showed strong hybrid vigour right from the start. Faster growth started around week 4 of veg, which is typical for this genetic line. The open structure developed nicely, making her easy to manage in the AutoPot system.

No issues with germination or veg. Despite no recent experience growing feminised weed seeds, the two Fruit Bomb Punch plants couldn’t have been easier to grow. No problems at all so far.

Fruit Bomb Punch flowering stage

The real magic happened once the Migro LED lights switched to 12/12.

Amazing fruity, floral smells. I was really impressed and happy with this strain. I love the fruity nice smelling terps. Nice colour switch halfway during flowering, giving those irresistible red & purple colour vibez.

The aroma intensified dramatically — sweet, tropical fruit with floral notes that filled the grow space. The plants showed significant stretch in the first 4–5 weeks of flowering (more than doubling in size), which is characteristic of Fruit Bomb Punch’s sativa influence.

Despite the stretch, the structure remained open and airy, making Fruit Bomb Punch very easy to work with and harvest. The buds developed dense, resinous flowers with plenty of trichomes. Beautiful autumn colours (reds and purples) appeared under the LED lighting, boosting the overall visual appeal. Both the leaves and the petioles (the branches that connect the leaf to the stem) developed the trademark red/purple colours.

The buds had real connoisseur appeal. Rich red colours, a slurpy terpy fruity dankness and a thick velvety trichome coating.

She almost grew into the lights during week 4-5 of bloom. She more than doubled in height. A very nice open structure, easy to harvest. Looking back, this was such a simple grow. No feeding issues, no unexpected problems.

I can see why Dutch Passion recommend her to new growers. One of the Fruit Bomb Punch plants was blindingly powerful; it didn’t surprise me too much when Dutch Passion told me that the lab test came back showing 25% THC.

Dry yield

Fruit Bomb Punch dense, terpene-rich buds by The Artist

Approximately 100-125g from the two plants.  The Artist added that this was a conservative estimate — not all the lower fluffy buds were kept, and more defoliation early in bloom could increase future yields.

This was a test run with his new AutoPot system and a first-time (in a long time) grow with photoperiod feminised cannabis seeds. The Artist added that there was plenty of scope to further optimise next time and get even better results.

Terpene profile

Laboratory analysis confirmed the intensely fruity character of Fruit Bomb Punch.

Top 5 Terpenes (relative share):

  • d-Limonene: 29.49%
  • Beta-Caryophyllene: 21.06%
  • Linalool: 10.26%
  • Alpha-Humulene: 8.44%
  • Beta-Pinene: 6.42%

Total terpenes reached an impressive 1% (it’s not uncommon to see solid strains with just 0.5% – 0.75% terpenes). The dominant citrus and spicy/floral terpenes perfectly match the sweet, fruity aroma reported during the grow.

Cannabinoid results

  • Plant 1: Δ9-THC 17.90%
  • Plant 2: Δ9-THC 25.18%

Both plants showed some CBD, CBG and THCV in addition to high THC levels delivering the potent, uplifting effects expected from this strain. The phenotype with the lower 17.9% THC levels should normally be around 20% THC in experienced hands.

THC levels on the best phenotypes max out at around 25-30% in optimised conditions. This ranks Fruit Bomb Punch firmly alongside some of Dutch Passion’s most potent feminised/autoflower seed varieties.

Final observations and tips

Fruit Bomb Punch performed excellently in her first trial under The Artist’s new conditions. The combination of AutoPots, BioTabs organics and LED lighting suited her well.

Key takeaways:

  • Excellent fruity/floral terpene profile – one of the fruitiest in the entire Dutch Passion cannabis seed collection.
  • Beautiful colour development (red/purple hues) gives high-end bag appeal.
  • Vigorous stretch in early flower — plan ahead with training/SCROG if needed.
  • Open structure makes her easy to manage and harvest.
  • High resin production and outstanding bag appeal.
  • More experienced growers can defoliate heavily and/or train for heavier yields.

Grower tip:

The new auto-pot system combined with feminised seeds was a little bit of a test and trial for me. Next time Ill trim away a lot more leaves early in bloom to maximise bud development. I wasn’t at all unhappy with the grow but felt I could have done a little bit more to get a better yield from the 250W LED.

If you’re looking for feminised cannabis seeds that combine extreme fruity flavours, high potency, XXL yield potential and stunning visuals, Fruit Bomb Punch is a must-try. Perfect for flavour chasers and those who want top-shelf buds with a full-potency, uplifting smoke.
