Auto Euforia is an autoflowering high-THC Skunk. She is grown indoors and outdoors by growers seeking an old-fashioned stress-blasting original with the classic Skunk pungency that you can feel in the back of your throat and smell from across the street. In this grow review, serial Dutch Passion grower ‘The Artist’ grew Auto Euforia indoors under a 250W Migro LED in a coco/light-mix soil blend. The grow cycle took 13 weeks from autoflower seed to harvest in slightly cool conditions. That’s a couple of weeks longer than average, but the grow was largely maintenance free and rewarded the grower with 110g of frosty dry buds that received top marks.

Auto Euforia lab test results
The Auto Euforia grown in this review was lab-tested and returned a 17.1% THC level, 0.4% THCV, 0.2% CBD, 0.2% CBC and 0.1% CBG. For comparison, annual Dutch Government surveys show that average THC levels in coffeeshop weed are around 15%.
I was pleased with the potency. It was stronger than the local coffeeshop stuff and certainly did the job with a nice euphoric ‘up’ high. But the best aspect of this strain, for me and my buddies, is the rich, skunky throaty taste. Super pungent, the taste coats your mouth. The best flavoured skunk I have grown in years.
Auto Euforia week-by-week indoor grow diary
The grow took place over some of the cooler months and The Artist felt that early temperatures were a little below optimum, perhaps slowing the grow-cycle by around a week or two. The grow was steady and straightforward with no unexpected difficulties. The words and pictures, below, come from The Artist.
Number of plants: 1
Container: 30 litre airpot
Grow medium: 50/50 coco fibre/light-mix soil
Nutrients: BioTabs slow release organics. BAC (grow, bloom & PK). Bio Rhizotonic root stimulator
Grow lights: 250W Migro Aray LED (20/4 light cycle)
Flowering time: 13 weeks from seed to harvest
Auto Euforia week 1
I germinated a single Auto Euforia seed directly in the grow medium. Within 2 days the autoflower seed had germinated. The goal from this grow was to produce a solid high-THC crop with a focus on getting the original Skunky taste & flavour. My recent crops have produced some good fruity, sweet buds. But this time I fancied a ‘blast from the past’, I love a good skunk.
Auto Euforia week 2
Despite cool indoor temperatures, we had a very nice-looking seedling, with some beautiful strong serrations around the edges. To compensate for the cool temperatures, I turned off the air-extraction and allowed the radiant heat from the Migro Aray 2 (250W adjustable high-quality LED) to warm the tent a bit.
Auto Euforia week 3
Development could be faster, but there have been some cold nights outside, resulting in cooler temperatures indoors as well. Still the plant is growing well, and new leaves keep developing. There is no air-extraction at this point, but it’s not really necessary since there is very little smell coming from the small Auto Euforia.
Auto Euforia week 4: veg growth is ending and cannabis bloom is imminent
Growth is picking up speed, and a nice thick stem is developing. I’m expecting some vigorous growth pretty soon – Dutch Passion autos normally start to stretch after a month or so. The leaves look green, chunky and healthy.
It’s been an uneventful but typical start. One advantage of the BioTabs slow-release organics is the steady release of nutrients to the grow medium. It means I don’t need as much traditional nutrients. This keeps the grow nice and simple, with less to go wrong.
Auto Euforia week 5: vigorous growth and stretch
As expected, week 5 was one with a lot with a lot of growth, stretch and development. Auto Euforia is growing bigger and taller at quite a rate. One nice feature of Dutch Passion autos is the tall central bloom surrounded by a ring of slightly shorter side blooms. That appears to be the way this plant is developing.
Auto Euforia week 6: autoflower development now in full swing
By the end of week 6 the plant has almost reached 50cm in size. The leaves are now starting to look more Sativa dominant (and less chunky/Indica-like), as it should be according to the genetics.
Despite the cooler indoor conditions, the auto Euforia has delivered well so far and reached a decent height. Outside, it’s now March and temperatures are also a bit more acceptable.
Making the dark times (light off) more pleasant (slightly warmer) for the Auto Euforia. This is an indoor grow, but without precise climate control.
Auto Euforia week 7
A nice Christmas tree structure is apparent now, a sign that the hard structural growth is done, and the blooms just need to swell and ripen.
Side branches are clearly visible and growing strongly, this reassures me that the eventual yield will be heavy.
The leaves look to be drooping down a little from time to time. Perhaps the Auto Euforia had a bit too much water when I took the pictures? Water transpiration is less during a winter / spring grow. That said, the plant does not seem to mind and recovered pretty quickly.
All in all, I feel very pleased so far. I am perhaps a week or so behind schedule so far due to the cold. But no rush. This grow wasn’t about an express harvest, rather it was to fill a few jars with old-fashioned skunk. It’s going well so far.
Auto Euforia week 8
Flowering is now clearly visible, 8 weeks after autoflower seed germination. But I did notice that bloom kicked in a little later than I hoped for, perhaps related to cool indoor temperatures. This may mean that this autoflower will take an extra week or two to finish. The longer slimmer Sativa leaf structure is now more apparent, the sativa genetics are now expressing themselves. Let’s keep an eye on the blooms for the next few weeks, they should start to swell. Strong skunky aroma coming from the tent.
Auto Euforia week 9
Look at her go! What a beautiful shape she has developed, the Sativa leaves now look like the finished article. I removed some lower leaves and tiny branches at the bottom of the plant, as you can see on the photo.
These get very little light and, in the end, often become very fluffy and not worth the energy. Also, the main cola is becoming very large, with a good internodal distance. At this point I felt confident that the harvest was really going to be a good one. I had a week of vacation coming soon. I hoped the plants would survive OK with an auto-watering device in my absence.
Auto Euforia week 10
Trichomes are developing at this point, buds & blooms are starting to swell. The smell is amplifying. You can see a lot of white pistils all over. I was very happy with the number of side blooms that had developed at this point.
The Sativa dominant genetics are clearly showing now. For me this pre-harvest stage is the best part of the grow. The genetics had done their job, now there was time to sit back and admire the grow. A few grower-friends commented on the perfect, classic plant structure – around 70cm tall.
Auto Euforia week 11
I took a week off at this point, so I skipped a week of making photo’s. But the camera kept rolling. During this week the plant had already grown to her maximum size/height. In general buds simply continued to thicken and increase in size.
Auto Euforia week 12
I returned from holiday and was really pleased with the no-maintenance progress. As expected, all the buds have grown/swollen in size – especially the main cola. This is now a substantial large bloom. A lot of the pistils (hairs) are now turning brown / orange in colour. I expect harvest time in 1-2 weeks. The harvest looks heavier than my average autoflower yield.
Auto Euforia week 13
I haven’t grown many autoflowers that took longer than the usual 11 weeks. So, it felt odd allowing the Auto Euforia an extra couple of weeks. But this was necessary to allow the plant and trichomes to ripen the way I like.
Who wants to harvest early when a week or two extra will allow the buds time to reach perfection? The buds looked, and smelled, impeccable. The pungency gets you in the back of the throat when you squeeze and smell them.
I was right not to rush this harvest, the aroma intensified significantly towards the end. Terpene madness in a good way.
I wonder whether the slow growth cycle was down to my cool tent temperatures, or did I just get an unusually slowing-blooming phenotype? You see them from time to time. With 10+ years of experience growing autoflower seeds I know that the slower ones are often the ones which produce the heaviest yields. This looked to be the case here. The eventual dry yield, around 110g, was higher than my average – so definitely no complaints from me.
Harvest was easy, one bloom at a time, with a fairly straightforward and fast scissor trim. The buds were allowed to dry for a week and were then cured in the jars for a month before we sampled them.
As I took the macro photographs around week 13, I noticed that the cannabis trichomes were showing lot of amber colours among the dominant milky tones. This was despite the ‘misleading’ new white pistils during the final weeks. I have seen this before with Sativa strains, and it can be confusing seeing so many new white pistils (hairs) suggesting harvest is still some way off. Yet the increasingly amber trichome colour, the important indicator, said harvest was due now. So down she came.
Auto Euforia smoke review by the Terp Inspectors
My buddies, ‘The Terp Inspectors’ turned up to help with the smoke review. Most of them grow too, so they know what makes a good harvest. Living in The Netherlands, it’s easy to buy weed from a coffee shop.
But many of the serious cannabis lovers that I know grow their own rather than buy from coffee shops. Check out the trichome close-up pictures and you can see the dense sticky coating. Squeeze them between your fingers for the best smell and inhale!
All the excited feedback from the Terp Inspectors was around the exceptional old-school skunky dankness, with a rich/funky taste that coats your tongue. We hadn’t enjoyed a skunk quite as pungent and tasty as this in a long time.
Like many other growers, I had been busy enjoying various fruity and fuel-scented strains, so Auto Euforia was a welcome & nostalgic blast from the past. One of my buddies heaped lavish praise on the old-fashioned skunk taste as he helped empty the first jar.
The effects were immediate, plenty of smiles and laughs throughout as the stress-busting effects really kicked in. With THC levels approaching 20% there were no complaints about the effects or potency. But plenty of love for the terpenes. Bag appeal was off the chart!

Auto Euforia expert tips for indoor growers
Many thanks to The Artist for another well documented grow of Dutch Passion autoflower seeds. Normally Dutch Passion would expect to see a harvest a week or two earlier, but Auto Euforia produced a great looking auto with a heavy, pungent harvest. No special grow techniques were used, this was all natural growing.
Very little plant maintenance was required (typical for true skunk genetics), with The Artist able to take a week off towards the end. Just a few low hanging leaves and lower branches were removed. Other than that, no maintenance at all.
The proven skunk genetics ensured an ideal internode distance between branches, meaning there was no pressing need to remove many lower branches or leaves. Auto Euforia suits the grower looking for a solid, reliable and predictable old-school auto skunk with no surprises during cultivation.
Most, if not all, true Skunk lines are especially easy to grow with that little bit extra resilience & grow latitude compared to your average strains. This enables Skunk strains to battle their way through tough conditions. This notable resilience is also, perhaps, the reason that Auto Euforia is the top Dutch Passion selection for outdoor/guerrilla growers.
Whether you’re growing indoors or guerrilla-style, Auto Euforia is a proven, durable strain with THC levels approaching a stinging 20% and heavy yields. She is easy to grow and delivers powerful harvests with some of the best original Skunk taste/flavour you can get in a modern auto.
